Annual Impact Report 2022
Quantum’s sustainability efforts increased significantly due to the addition of a Head of Sustainability and the formalization of our ESG program. We completed a materiality assessment to determine what was significant to our business and stakeholders. We launched our first Impact Report, based on the GRI standard. Quantum now tracks scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions to understand our impact and find ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Scope 3 is being worked on in 2023. A Green Team was launched with representation across all sites. We did employee initiatives such as a waste pickup challenge for Earth Day. More than 50% of the company workforce volunteered to pick up waste around our sites and we collected close to 14,000 lbs of garbage and recycling. Quantum gives our customers Sustainability Reports, which measure their reuse and recycling data and make the metrics meaningful and estimate the carbon emissions avoided through our process. We’ve launched a podcast called The Circular Future, which features interviews with industry leaders on how we manage our technology and how to create a sustainable future.
