John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport is a growing international gateway for affordable travel and the largest overnight express freight airport in Canada. In 2019, the airport served 955,373 passengers, a year-over-year increase of 32%.

In 2019, the Airport implemented LED retrofitting lighting projects to reduce energy consumption and GHG emissions. Similar lighting retrofits may be completed in 2020, however no new sustainability projects have been planned at this time.

2018-2019 Annual Business Report
In 2018, the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport continued working with SHB and was successful in setting a baseline year (2017). In 2019, the Airport has LED retrofitting lighting projects planned to continue in reducing consumption and working towards reduction in GHG emissions.

Munro Hamilton International Airport is a privately held company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Vantage Airport Group, a leading investor, developer and manager of airports around the world. Its current network is composed of 10 airports, including LaGuardia Terminal B in New York and Midway International Airport in Chicago. Vantage is also JetBlue Airway’s preferred development partner for the airline’s international terminal redevelopment project at New York’s John F. Kennedy International.
